Fall (Style) for the Boys…

Hey boys if this was sent to you it means its time to step it up. And to the girls reading this, here’s what to secretly switch in his closet (thank me later).

In my humble opinion, men’s fashion is greatly overlooked and underestimated. There is so much untapped potential in personal style that is yet to be discovered. Style says so much about you and can honestly be a huge factor in getting that second date or job interview.

To give you a little inspo, I created 4 looks to help get the wheels turning. While these looks may not help with the job interview part, they can definitely help keep you looking cool on the street (and let’s be real, that’s what really matters right?)

First things first guys, if you do not have a cool trucker jacket and sneaker option that isn’t for working out , put it on the Christmas list NOW. These items are going to be your best friend in pulling together effortlessly cool looks. I love that this one by Samuel Zelig brings some personality with the distressed patches. Another closet staple is a good tee, I love this one by Drake’s, but Buck Mason and even Uniqlo have some great options. If you really want to step up the game, don’t forget a tinted sunglass and mysterious tote bag that screams “I’m not like the other boys”.

Say it with me “I will get a cool sneaker this fall.” I am obsessed with Onitsuka Tigers, they are the epitome of effortlessly cool. Paired with a loose twill pant like these by Every Other Thursday , or a classic carpenter pant says I know what I am doing without trying too hard. And if you can pull it off with a Rowing Blazer hot dog sweater, I mean honestly maybe you should be writing this article. Seriously though, this is probably one of the easiest formulas to copy on those lazy Saturdays where you don’t know what to wear. A sweater, loose pant, hat, and sneaker can never do you wrong.

This look is definitely for my Jacob Elordi type of guys, but can easily be toned down for the everyday guy. These The Row jeans are to die for, but if they don’t suit your fancy try these from Agolde. Another absolute must in a man’s closet is a good loafer that can be dressed up or down. My picks are Duke and Dexter , Dr. Martens, G.H. Bass, and if you are feeling splurgy these by The Row.

Running around after the gym or just feeling a bit lazy? Here is how to keep it cool. Pair your favorite active shorts with a cool windbreaker or jacket like this one from Kardo. This look is honestly all about the accessories - cool sneakers, cooler socks, a ball cap, and sunglasses that say I’m that guy.

If you have one takeaway from this lesson, let it be to invest in the basics and the formulas will begin to fall together.
